While issuing debit cards or credit cards, most banks, including both the public sector and private sector, provide a PIN that enables card usage at ATMs and point-of-sale (POS) terminals.

What is Green PIN?

A Green PIN is a digitally generated Personal Identification Number (PIN) used to activate debit and credit cards. Unlike traditional PINs that are sent through physical mailers, Green PINs are generated electronically, offering a faster and more secure activation process. By eliminating the need for printed mailers, Green PINs also help reduce paper consumption and support environmentally sustainable banking practices.
